From Soap to Hope: How I Learned to Heal Myself

It started with soap.

Years ago, at my kitchen table, I was making natural soaps and creams to heal a skin condition in my family that nothing on the shelf could touch. I did not know I was starting a company. I did not know I was starting a calling. I only knew my people were hurting and I had to do something with my hands.

Somewhere in the making, God showed me the deeper thing. I was not only trying to heal my family’s skin. I was learning how to heal myself, the woman who carried everyone and rarely let herself be carried.

That is where From Soap to Hope was born. Not in a boardroom. At a kitchen table, in the middle of real life, with real hurt and real faith. Every product, every program, every word I have written since came from that same place: the belief that a woman can be restored, not just impressive.

Lovey, your beginning does not have to look like anyone else’s. Mine was soap. Yours might be a quiet idea, a hard season, a small obedience. God does extraordinary things with ordinary hands that keep saying yes.
