Even God Rested: Permission for the Woman Who Never Stops

Even God Rested: permission to rest for the woman who never stops, from Amour Women

We have made a badge out of exhaustion. We admire the woman who never stops, and quietly, we are becoming her.

But hear me this Sunday, Lovey. Even God rested. The Maker of everything built a day of rest into the very rhythm of creation, not because He was tired, but to show us how to live. If rest was holy for Him, it is not laziness for you.

For years I could not stop. Stillness felt like falling behind. If I was not producing, I felt like I was failing. Then God gently reordered it: rest is not the reward at the end of the work. It is part of the work of being whole.

You are allowed to put it down before everything is finished. You are allowed to receive before you have earned it. That is grace. Rest is not falling behind. It is obedience, and it is trust, telling God you believe He can hold what you set down.

So today, set one thing down. Breathe. Let Him restore what this week required of you. Tomorrow will be met by a woman who is full, not one running on empty.

When you are ready to understand why rest feels so hard for you, and what you have been carrying, begin here.

You were never asked to hold everything together. He already is. Let’s Grow.
